SVOBODA, MR. STEVE D. Hesperia Mr. Svoboda, age 68, died February 11, 2008. Born April 28, 1939, in Otsego, to John and Florence (VanderSloot) Svoboda, he had lived in the Hesperia area for the past 9 years. On December 3, 1960, in Muskegon, he married the former Elaine M. Rager and had been a draftsmans surveyor at Moore & Burggink, Inc. for 45 years, retiring in 2002. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Mr. Svoboda served in the US Navy. FAMILY: His wife, Elaine; 2 daughters, Susan (David) Bitely of Bitely and Lori (Jeff) Kilts of Holton; 2 granddaughters, Rebecca (Ryan) Frost of Muskegon and Elizabeth Walwood (Nate Golczynski) of FL: grandson, Ronald Johnston (Krystal Danicek) of Holton; great-granddaughters, Madison Frost and Haley Frost; great-grandson, Bradyn Golczynski; a brother, Richard (Shelly) Svoboda; in-laws, Major Janice and Major James Nauta, George and Carol Rager and Pat & Harvey Brady. MEMORIAL SERVICE: Wednesday, February 13, 2008 at 11:00 AM from Clock Chapel - Whitehall with Major James Nauta officiating.
